SLVR and iTunes 7

I've been trying for some time now to get my girlfriend's SLVR phone to work with iTunes 7. (We upgraded from version 6 just because some music she wanted to buy required it, so we upgraded and bought it.)

Well, it seems that the two are known to conflict with eachother.

Do any of you have a solution? I tried burning the music to CDs and ripping it back to mp3, and for some reason, I'm able to open the files up on another machine as mp3s (playing in Windows Media Player as a USB Mass Storage Device), but when I go to play them on the phone, it just flips through them, trying for maybe 2 seconds each until it gives up and goes to the next song. Oddly enough, it knows the artists and songs.

I just recently purchased a SLVR (in the mail right now). Does the cable you need to sync with iTunes come with the phone or do I need to buy one separately? I didn't buy the package that came with headphones and etc. if that helps.

Even if it does not, it is just a mini-USB cable, which I'm sure you have.

If it does not come with the headphones and stuff, are you sure it is the Cingular SLVR L7 with iTunes?

Yes. All it doesn't come with are headphones and 512 memory card. I got this instead because it was cheaper and I wanted to use my 1gb card. I was just wandering if I needed to buy a separate cable.

Where did you jump on this deal?
