I'm happy that I can plug-and-play a USB mouse and use it concurrently with my laptop's touchpad on my Linux system, but I'd been annoyed with how fast the pointer moves with either device. They are both configured in SaX2 (SuSE's X configurator) and KDE's control center to use the slowest setting, but they were still too fast.
I found that I can alter ~/.kde/share/config/kcminputrc to slow the pointer down beyond the lowest setting available in the control center. The trouble is that it only affects the "core" pointer as defined in XF86Config, which in my case is the touchpad.
Does anyone know how I can get BOTH pointing devices slowed to a reasonable speed?
