I'm tring to get this USB -> Parallel cable to work in order to run an old printer from a modern laptop (yeah, it's messy but I have no choice). It seems that the printer isn't too happy about it, as it'll connect to the printer and then transfer say, 65k of the 170k test page and then stop. The printer begins to state that it's processing the print job and then stops abruptly. I'm guessing that it could be the transfer speed, so I'm looking to slow down the speed of a single USB 2.0 port down to 1.1. Is this possible, and if so.... how?
thanks in advance.
