I just installed the Maxtor PATA on the promise controller and doing some testing showed really slow write speeds. This controller came with the Maxtor retail kit. The drive seemed really slow writing to the disk but ok reading from it. Running SiSoftware SANDRA reported this:

It seems like my cache ain't on or something but I used the utility from promise website to turn on cache and use write-back method. Most recent drivers from Maxtor and promise website were tested out but still same slowness. Can someone help me?
