Slow write speeds with Storage Space?

I'm using a 4x6TB pool with parity. Getting anywhere from 20MB to 30MB/s over USB3 direct connect. Took 3!!! days to transfer 7TB of MKVs. Is that to be expected?
 
cant say its abnormal without knowing what enclosure your running and what Raid Parity u were on.
Also you sure u didnt accidentally connect the usb cable to a usb2.0 port instead of a 3.0 port?

The external drive was a WD easyStore 8TB USB3. Yes, it was plugged into a USB3 port.

Setup was Storage Space with parity. Drives are internal, running off internal SATA3 ports.
