Question Slow write speeds over my network

I've been copying files over my network and the speeds seem extremely slow. I get about 12Mb/s maximum write speeds and sometimes half of that. I have all cables Cat6 or better. There is a Gb switch between most devices. Gb network should be able to transfer at up to 125Gb/s right? I don't expect that but 10%?

Copying one large file and thousands of small files makes a big difference, and it also depends a lot how fast the writing speed your storage is.

Test your storage speed locally first using benchmarks like ATTO / CrystalDiskMark

Also test network performance between PC with iPerf3

I'm copying mp4 files which are between 5-6 Gb. I don't remember if the speeds are faster when I copy to an NVMe drive. I'll check.
