Slow Windows 98SE and XP SP1 boot w/ NF7-S? Bad drivers???

Hi, I'm having problem with my new nforce2 nf7-s rev1.2 setup. After I install the nforce chipset drivers, windows 98se and xp sp1 boot very slowly. Before I installed the chipset drivers, both versions of windows booted very quickly so I know it is the nforce drivers that is slowing windows down. I've tried the chipset drivers that came with the abit board and also nvidia's latest 2.03. Anyone else have this problem?

When you were asked if you wanted to install the SW drivers did you say no?

Windows 98 didn't ask about SW drivers. Windows XP did and I chose yes. Anyway, what are SW drivers?
