we have an NT4 server setup for our software developers. they've recently been upgraded to windows 2000 machines... now, copying files from the NT4 server to their own workstation is ridiculously slow. users of NT4 and 98 boxes have no trouble w/ network speed.
we tried a fix suggested at Intel's site - changing the TcpWindowSize value in the registry to 8192... but that didn't solve our problem.
anyone have a clue?
UPDATE: nevermind, we just slapped service pack 6a on the NT4 server and the transfer speed is consistent across all platforms.
woo-freaking-hoo! sad that Microsloth's famous KB couldn't answer this problem for us. bastidges.
