Question Slow USB transfer to Samsung Evo 850 - fast to Evo 960

I have got an USB 3.0 card reader and when I copy files to my C drive Evo 960 PCIe it is fast for the entire file copy. But if I copy the same file to D drive (Samsung Evo 850 SATA 3) it starts fast but then it goes down to really painfully slow after say 30 seconds.

Any ideas. Intel Nuc Windows 10 Pro PC. Intel driver tool says all up to date and using latest bios.

Type 'Defragment and Optimize Drives' in the Start Menu. Make sure it says Solid State Drive for the 850 and run optimize. That will send TRIM commands. If it still happens I'd try a different SATA cable. Still bad? Run Samsung's Magician software to do a SMART quick test.
