I am a Comcast@home subscriber, and am running win2k. ive got two computers set up on the cable modem. i believe the official comcast statement is that they have an upload cap at 125kbps. when i test my speed at dslreports, it typically says my upload speed is from 80 - 100kbps. however, when i send things out to friends i can never get above 20. any ideas why?
 
That is correct. You typically won't get above 16k when you upload files to people. Your download speed is unlimited pretty much.

Keep in mind that 128kbps = 16k a second or so 🙂
 
haha thanks, im an idiot. for some odd reason, the sector of my brain that distinguishes bits from bytes was temporarily malfunctioned. 😱
