slow SSD

Hey Gang,

Since I am new to this whole SSD thing, Does anybody else experience that the SSD slows down when multitasking? The old hard drive handles it better 🙁

Uhm, no. Unless you are using one with an older Jmicron or Phison S8 controller, or have filled your SSD to capacity, or are running it in a system without TRIM.

Hey Virtual, the SSD is a 120gb model and still has 71 gb free, Trim is enabled, and it has an LSI controller Kingston V300. It is however connected to a sata 2 board. I am gonna upgrade though

That said, I have a 120gb v300 running in a cheap laptop on sata2 and it runs just fine.
This. I've got one in my HTPC, which is an H61 chipset, so also limited to SATA2. Seems fine. I only have 2GB of RAM in that box, so it starts to hit the pagefile pretty quickly, and with the SSD, I never notice any slowdown.
