slow small file random writes

was wondering if this issue is common so thats why i posted it.the firmware on ssd is up to date and i get the same performance numbers off the as ssd benchmark and the crystaldisk benchmark that i see others get.but when i dl a program called rawr(its a tool for helping determining upgrades in world of warcraft),it has several thousand small files that get extracted and takes up to 14 min to extract.when i did it on my old 74 gig raptor it took 15 sec.everythings up to date.read speeds are where they should be for a ssd but other programs like rawr that i use act the same for writing.any ideas?

Is this the first gen or second gen Intel SSD? And how much space is left on the drive?

second gen.the newest ones.and i have half of the drive free.and i'm using windows 7.i would post my as ssd and crystaldisk benches but it won't let me.

Post the numbers from your AS SSD/CrystalDiskMark benches.

Is this a new drive? AHCI or IDE? What storage driver are you using? Is TRIM working?

yes its a new drive.and in ahci mode, and using the proper driver.and trim is working fine.it wont let me post ss of as ssd or crystalmark benches for some reason.but they are in line with others ive seen on this forum.

I meant just typing the numbers; it'll definitely let you do that. But I suppose there's no point if they're similar to other people's results.

run perfmon and watch disk the average disk queue and cpu load. also keep in mind antivirus can have a large effect on writes - try disabling it during the process to see if it matters.
