Slow Scrolling in WinXP??

After wiping my hard drive clean and installing a fresh copy of WinXP Pro w/ SP2, I notice that scrolling is VERY slow... the active window seems to "tear up" when I scroll up and down and takes some time to refresh. Even after installing the appropriate nForce and ATi drivers for my setup, the problem remains. Any ideas? (My hardware shouldn't be an issue - it's an nForce3 250gb / Clawhammer 3700+ setup w/ 1GB RAM)

I"ve had that problem with built in Windows Drivers but it's always cleared up when I've put on the appropriate chipset / video drivers. Does it happen in all resolutions? How about in safe mode?

hmm... how about the order of installing the drivers?
I installed the chipset drivers before the video card drivers, if that makes a difference?

what type of gear do you have? usually this is resolved after you installed the graphics card drivers. i usually install chipset drivers first, then go with the actual vid card driver
