Hey guys, quick question for you.

My computer (windows xp) is extremely slow at shutting down and rebooting. It turns of faily quickly if i turn it off as soon as windows starts. But if i let windows run for a while, do some stuff, and then try to restart it takes forever. Probably takes 3-5 minutes, depending on how much stuff i had going on. I've never encounted this before, and i have no idea why my computer would be doing this.

Any recommendations?

Have you scanned your system for viruses and malware using up-to-date scanners?

Yes, i have scanned with norton internet security 2005

here is what it finds, 5 threats

file name: / Threat name:
180sainstall.exe / adware.180search
aphex.ex / adwaregamespyarcade
del1e.tmp / adware.zangosearch
del39.tmp / adware.180search
res34.tmp / adware.180solution

I tried removing these a while ago and couldn't get it to work. ARe either of these known to cause restart problems?
