I benched my 2xIBM 7200 rpm ata100s deskstars on RAID 0 drives with raptest (raptor by canopus) and found that it's incredibly slow:

4810 kb/s read
14 mb/s write

Sandra 2002 index:
11594kb/s

About as fast as a 4.2k rpm ata66 drive, or a USB 2.0 external HD.

My system specs:
2 x IBM Deskstar 30gb on Promise RAID 0
Athlon 1700+XP
SOYO Dragon+
512 megs DDR
WinXP Pro

Drive is defragged, NTFS, about 40% full.

whats wrong with it?
