Hi.
My Asus P5P800 died on Christmas
and so I had to get a new MB from one of the few stores that was open before the 2nd of Jan.
I didnt think much about it & got a cheap Asus P5S800 figuring it would run as good as the P5P. The only difference I can see is the new board dosnt have dual channel DDR, but I didnt think that would make much difference. My computer now runs about 50% slower in Windows & Games.
Here's the Specs for the new board:
CPU - LGA 775 for Intel Pentium 4/ CeleronD processors
- Intel Hyper-Threading Technology ready
- Compatible with Intel 04A and 04B processors
Chipset SiS 661FX
SiS 964
Front Side Bus 800/533MHz
Memory 2 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 2GB PC3200/2700/2100 non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory
Expansion Slots 1 x AGP8X (1.5V only)
3 x PCI
VGA SIS Real 256E Graphics
Whats with it?
Anything I can do?
