Slow Menus in MS Office

Recently installed ATI Xpert 32meg AGP card. When using menus in MS Office programs (Word, Publisher), the menus come down veeeery slowly. When using menus in IE, Netscape, MS Works and other programs, they're fast and normal. What gives? I at first thought it was the card but since this happens only in Office programs, is there some settings to change menu speed? Thanks.
