This has got to be a router issue (Linksys 4port)

I can copy/paste files across my LAN to shared dries at normal speeds (7000K+)
however if I do any xfers via IP, like FTPing files to my FTP (192.168.1.20 going to .100) I can get only ~1200K. If I have a fast download going (300K) to .20 at the same time I can only get ~900K to the FTP... so a MAX total of 1200K IP traffic between these 2 PCs.

Yet I can FTP to/from my XBOX at full LAN speeds.

Very odd

Im lost.

Also, if your machines are XP, then you might want to install teh NetBEUI protocol for your lan adapters. Inherently, XP does LAN traffic as IP. IPX or NetBEUI is much faster. I had the same problem. If you can't find the NetBEUI protocol, look on your XP disc.
