Slow LAN file transfer speeds

Hello everyone, i'm fairly new to home networking and i'm looking for some info/advice on how to speed up my current setup.

I have a Linksys E2000 wireless router running the latest firmware 1.0.04 Build 7. My internet is a 50 Mbps connection. My wireless band is 2.4 GHz, network mode is mixed, channel width is 20 MHz only, ussing channel 8 and WPA personal security mode.

I have 1 main computer hardwired to the router, 1 laptop with wireless G capabilities and 1 desktop with an Asus wireless N usb adapter. All computers are running Win 7 premium or ultimate.

When using any of the computers for web browsing or torrents the speeds are very good. Whenever I transfer files from the hardwired computer to either of the computers connected via wireless the speeds seem very slow and I can't get a speed higher than 2 Mbps.

I'm wondering if there is anything i can do to speed up my transfer rates between computers or if my speeds are normal and I just have to deal with them.

Thank you in advance for your help
