Slow installations of programs?

I know it's been posted before but the thread seems to have disappeared. It was a Win2k problem and I've recently run into it, now all my programs take like 5 minutes for InstallShield to come out of 99%. It's really quite annoying, does anyone remember the fix?
 
Don't remember the post your talking about but when I had this problem I found it was my anti-virus program. Just had to disable it when I installed programs.
