Slow IE

For some reason IE has become so slow that it takes forever for the pages to load. I ran adaware , spybot and nothing major found . But when I doisable NAV pages load fine. I also did a disk cleanup , waht else I can try.

I cann't remove IE ??
 
A few suggestions:

1 update your version of Norton Antivirus
2 or get another AV program
3 make sure u have latest IE6 and Windows security patches
4 or get another browser, preferably Mozilla
 
I would ditch IE to begin with.
Your best bet is Opera.

Try this
Disable these 2 options in IE under Options\Advanced Tab
Uncheck: Check for Publishers Certifcate Revlocation
Uncheck: Check for Server Certificate Revocation
Also empty out your cache and check to make sure its not set to high (in MBs).


 
Mozilla Firefox 1.0RC1 was just released, built in pop-up blocker, no spyware, and it does not use the IE system so you dont have to worry about security issues related with the many flaws in IE.

Also you can choose different themes, tabbed windows, many plugins.
