I have had @home for about 2 years now and on a whole I have been very happy with the service. However, I have noticed that my upload speed has been pretty slow. I used to be able to send a 4MB mp3 in a little over a minute or so through IM, but now it just says something like "19004 minutes remaining." So at first I figured that it was IM, but then i tried running and FTP server and having another friend(who is at college)download from me and same results. So whats going on? Im running windowsXP, but this problem existed before I upgraded, so I dont think it's that. I dont really feel like paying $45 a month for crumby uploads like that. I was thinking of calling them up, but I doubt they can do much for me over the phone. Maybe I should switch to DSL. I know that DSL is theoretically slower than cable, but I have heard it is more consistent in the speed that it delivers. Any thoughts on any of this?
