I just put together a new build this week as followed:
Phenom X4 955 BE (C3)
Asus M4A785T-M (785G)
ADATA 2 X 2gb DDR3 1333
Samsung F3 500gb 7200rpm 16mb cache
Seagate 250gb 7200rpm 8mb cache
AMD HD 4670 512mb
Corsair TX650W
Win 7 64bit Pro
When ever you have the computer run a task that requires the hard drive there is a pause before it seems to read the drive. While you wait for this pause the cursor has the added circle thinking icon. I believe I have the correct chipset drivers installed. The system has been running stable with no crashes for the past few days. This samsung drive is from my old computer which was also running win 7 but the old system felt much more response than the new one. When running HD Tune the drive performs almost as fast for avg read rates but the graph is covered with sharp drops. The random access time is similar to before. The results are the same for each drive in HD Tune Is there anything I can change to make this computer more responsive?
