I have 3 hard drives and ran sandra's benchmarking util on them. One is about 10 times slower with writes than the others. Sisoft sandra says it might be because write verify is on. Where can I check and change that? Also are there any other utils to check this? Thanks..
 
Is the drive that's slow on the same cable with a CDROM or DVDROM (or any optical drive)? Is the optical drive in PIO mode?

The website of the HDD maker should have a utility to download that lets you change the write verify settings
