Slow friggin delivery

so, i ordered a weight lifting belt this Tuesday with "normal" shipping... it took them a few days to process the order, they shipped it out via UPS and sent me the tracking number. estimated arrival date: April 30th. shipping time: ~11 days.

Three days ago, a buddy of mine ordered an ipod. they shipped it the next day via UPS and sent him the tracking number. estimated arrival date: April 30th. shipping time: ~10 days.

yesterday, I ordered a new phone from a different website, and as I need it in a hurry, I paid an extra $10 for "expedited shipping", rated at 1-3 days. they shipped it out early this morning via Fedex and sent me the tracking number. estimated arrival date: April 30th. shipping time: ~6 days.

1. What the hell is with April 30th being "the" day for deliveries?
2. Expedited shipping is a load of BS and not worth the money (and NOT 1-3 days, not even 1-3 business days).
3. why can't everyone ship as quickly as newegg.

read the fine print on the expedition fees, thats in their shop, not on the fedex side. if you wanted it quicker, should have told them air red or next day air. they would charge you extra for it, but at least it would have been there sooner. ive also seen a lot of times that fedex and ups (ups is the worst of the two tho) will estimate 2 weeks and deliver way before that. their estimates are worst case usually, not the actual.
