hi guys,im a new member.
im running a ASUS PB5 motherboard
dual core2 duo intel6400
gainward bliss 8800gts 640mb
mem 2gig geil.
ive just developed a problem playing cod4.
i will start from the begining, every friday we meet up on line.about 16 local lads from the northeast england and play COD2.we have our own server and interclan war as you might say.COD2 is still playing great with a fps set to a max of 125 fps which does not vary at all.I havnt played COD4 for over a week but found when i did the fps was as low as 17fps at times, too low to play the game, even the sound was distorted at that time.i have reinstalled windows XP,All drivers.
Any ideas would be apreciated
Pete

Do you have problems with any other games?

I would suggest doing some stress testing - like a 24 hour 3dmark loop, memtest, orthos torture test etc...

all other games work fine,eg.....crysis,Halflife,Overclocked,COD2.having said that COD4 worked great till this week.I ran NVIDIA stress test for a couple of hours and nothing came up as a fault.during COD4 game,if i look to the sky everything goes normal, even the sound is back to normal.I have onboard sound (Soundmax),im thinking of unistalling this and fitting audigy card i have. What do u think m8.
Thanx...pete
