Slow DvD Ripping speed

Lately some weird stuff happen
First my HDD become UDMA5 to PIO mode
So I got new seagate200 GB Sata HDD
Now JLMS XJ HD 166S can't go higher then 3.2X
So is my Nec 1300A burner
I use to able to Ripp at 8X-12X in my Lite-on my Nec do 4X I think.
Right now they are on their own channel as a Master. DMA is mode is on. They runing on UDMA2.
My rig is
P4 3.0 Gig Prescott 1M cache 800FSB
P875 Chipset 1Gig of Ram Dual DDR400
Any idea's ???

After a certain number of errors, the drive will not rip at high speed. Uninstall and reinstall your IDE channel that the drive is on.

I have Reformated the HDD and Reinstall the OS with Services Pack 1
