Thats right you can break faster at 100MPH when you can't brake fast enough for something that gets in your way.

I just want to know where speed limits exceed even 70MPH on open interstate, much less crowded freeways around large cities like LA or Atlanta. Even I-285 and the interstates are set to 55MPH. I have driven in both places and am amazed at how dumb speeders can be. I D 10 Ts flying by at 80+ with one hand through the sun roof holding a cigarette and the other hand full of cell phone and yaking on the damed thing.

A good chunk of the state of Arizona, and much of California IIRC. I seem to recall other areas around the country as well. As I mentioned, near my house the speed limit is 75, and if you're doing less than 85 the cops will fly by you. My average is 85, but when idiots try to block me, I'll easily jump to 110 to get around.

It's funny as hell getting stuck behind someone who intentionally boxes you in, then they try to speed up to get to the next batch of cars and before they know what hit them I'm 1/4 mi in front of them. Good thing most of you wannabe cops drive crappy cars so it's easy for us good drivers to blow by you on the right. :)

Atlanta's traffic is not a fair comparison to ANYWHERE. The roads their are designed in a completely asinine way. Hell, you actually have a decent mass transit system and only a small handful of people use it.

In Birmingham if you drive under 80 you will get ran over. Speed limit is 60 right near the city and 70 once you get near the burbs.

So in other words you egg people on into driving aggressively and try to get them to attempt unsafe passes to get around your slow ass. Nice. I'm sure when the person gets in front of you, you then tailgate them too, right? I'd love for you to try that to me. It's people like you who make me carry heavy objects in my car that can accidentally fall out of my window once I pass you. Similarly, a buddy of mine has carried week old bananas in the car for that very purpose. *SPLAT*

Is 80mph really that fast for you guys? That's what I generally cruise at on 290... Then again 80mph makes my dad's Taurus feel like it's going to fall apart.

I don't think 90-100 MPH is all that fast. It is just that the general populace could never drive that fast because they suck.

by aggressive is that i will pass at high speeds, at close range with other cars. basically fast and swift. not prolonged like excessive tailgaiting. my forms of tailgaiting are quick only just to pass really quick. if i have to tailgate more than 4 seconds, i backoff because there may be a jerk in front of me that decides to slam on his brakes.

when someone tailgates me alot, and i cut off his passing opportunities on the right, i will basically slow down so much that im going the speed limit. since cars in the right lanes are passing me, he can't move to those lanes. soon as that person moves to those right lanes that are passing me, i accelerate to the approxmiate speed of those right lanes so that person can't cut me off. basically, i'm driving defensively by defending myself from getting cut off.

the reason i don't honk or flash my lights is because the ppl doing 65 in the fast lane are entitiled to that speed. if the number 1 lane is the passing lane, what gives that lane a higher speed limit to pass. its not 65+. its 65 tops. sure it isn't enforced, by when it comes to court, you can't argue that it was the fast lane. all lanes are govorned by the same speed limit law.
You scare me.

Impeding traffic (i.e. driving slow in fast lane) is now considered terrorism in Oregon, punishable with a life sentence with a minimum of 25 years before parole! Its in this new law

Anyone else find it interesting that this new terrorism bill is in Chapter 666?
