Slow desktop, big TV, or fast laptop small tv?

I have a $1900 sony laptop that is about to be replaced by best buy. The store manager has said that if I buy a new service plan with the tv, that I can use the money from the laptop for a tv...


this means I no longer have a personal laptop (I have a decently fast work laptop..)

I currently use a slow desktop at home for email/surfing.


 
So what do you plan to use for personal computer use? Most every company I've worked for has their users sign an Acceptable Use Policy that states that work computers will not be used for personal use.

Keep your laptop for your stuff... you never know when you'll be asked to surrender that work laptop without warning.
 
If you have a work laptop you can take home and use, I'd do that. That's what I do now but Im' getting a nnew job and won't have that laptop any more so I'll have to go back to using my desktop. But a big TV is always nice.
