Slow Cursor Movement while gaming

Hi friends,

If anyone can help me with this. I have a Pentium 4 1.5 GHz, 128 ram, 32mb Video ram AGP NVidia, 40 GB PC. off late I am having a peculiar problem while gaming 3D games like Project IGI or Motocross.

The Mouse Cursor starts floating on the screen and is very slow. It take toooooo long time to reach a button or selection.

Please help me with this problem, I just got my Mother board checked today.

regards

do you have one of those "thumb ball" mice? Those don't always work well for games. When I had one it was so painful to turn the stupid tank gun in bf1942...

it could just be a product of your system being kinda slow in general...how does the game itself run? does the screen jump like the mouse? or if they were running fine in the past, it could be a spyware/virus problem.

I occasionally have the same problem on a much faster system than yours. I use Norton Antivirus Corporate, and that sucker is a major hog. I have to disable it sometimes.

Sounds like your CPU is being utilized at near peak....check to see at what percent it's running.
