slow connection/packet loss

*I'm not any where near a computer tech or anything else like that, so bear with my lack of knowledge....

The pc w/the problem is running win xp, has linksys wmp54g v.1 wireless adapter, connecting to Buffalo WZR2-G300N router, Verizon dsl.

Web pages and all other internet connections have been extremely slow, sometimes sites will time out, most of the time they load real slow, and yet other time they'll be just a little slower than normal. I used cmd to ping google and other addresses, all requests time out w/100% packet loss. I have full signal strength, and two other computer on the network one wireless and other wired neither have any problems. No downloads or any other significant bandwidth usage going on any of the computers. I removed the drivers completely and installed the latest ones from linksys.*
The only thing Ive changed is installing win 7 on new and separate hard drive and tried to install drivers for the linksys adapter to get it to work w/ win 7, but i don't see how that could affect it since its on a separate hard drive.
Any help would be great, thanks

Sounds like wireless interference. Read the sticky about changing channels, antenna adjustment, etc. Also make sure the wireless client isn't too close to the router.
