I am an @home user - I have 2 rigs networked through a smc barricade router. Both rigs are amd 450+ running @ 600 on asus p5a boards running windows98 v2. Both machines are using Netgear fx310tx nic's. The machine farest from the modem has a download of about 1.1 meg the other machine has a download of .3! I have tried reinstalling the nic with updated drivers but it doesn't help. any ideas would be appreciated.
