I just got 75 megabit service and ftp and torrent downloads are nice and fast, however, all my IE browser downloads seem to go no faster than 500 kb. Why is this? Is there a hack to make the browser downloads faster?
 
What does this have to do with 'Operating Systems'?
Use firefox and check the same site with that.
If that is fast, then you most likely have some kind of malware or perhaps some extension is causing issues.

Forum. Thanks for pointing that out. I was hoping there was a flaw or tweak that would increase the speed I hadn't read about.
 
As your Internet speed gets faster, you will start to notice how much speed also depends on those sending the data.
