SlotKey & Celeron in older Gigabyte Motherboard.

I'm thinking of upgrading my Dad's PC for X-Mas and was wondering if the Gigabyte GA-6EM motherboard board would support one of the faster, speed greater that 600mhz, Celerons. It's a slot 1 board but I was thinking of buying a slotkey and sticking a socket 370 celeron on it. I've written to Gigabyte but they have been no help at all. The only response I've received from them is that this is a "discontinued board." Gee thanks guys...tell me something I didn't know. Anyway if anyone has a clue about this any help you could give me would be great.

Thanks.

You may be in luck here. Get a quality slotket (ASUS etc) and
make sure the celeron is 533mz or less. Celeron 2's 566mz and
above have lower voltage requirements and may not work with older
M/B's. Set the slotket for autodetect and also set your M/B to
autodetect if possible...........Greg
