SlotKey Advice..

I?m in direr need of advice on a FC-PGA SlotKey. I?m currently using an Iwill II on a P3-700E that would not even run at 933MHz stable. I?ve pretty much narrowed it down to the CPU or SlotKey, ( my Slot 1 550E can do 155FSB by it flips out with the exact same components ) and I?m hoping it?s not the CPU ( Please God Don?t Let It Be ). So I?m going to try another SlotKey brand. I?m wondering which of the other 3 major brands should I purchase: Asus, Abit, or the MSI converter. Also if anyone has a SlotKey that they?ve used and knows that it can take high FSB, also willing to sale or trade Please email me!!!!!

I have a generic slocket but based on what I've read around here I would recommend the MSI MS-6905. Try doing a search on this BBS using the word on "slocket" and you will have more than enough info to make a decision.

What motherboard do you have? Sometimes the manufacturer will make a slocket or recommend a specific one.

I've heard good things about the MSI and the Asus, but my board is an Abit BE6-II. I'm sure they'll recommend their own slocket. I'm having a bad experience with the Iwill. Cant post at 1Gig, and not even stable at 903Mhz with a 1.85Vcore. I'm really hoping that it's the culprit and not the cpu. Now I'm just torn between the Asus and MSI.

You won't know whether it's the CPU until you elimintae other factors. Could be your RAM or the slocket. I have read better reviews of the MSI than the Asus.
