Slotket - SMP Coppermine capable..... Which one...

Have two MS-6905 Master Rev 2's on order, but just read that you have to mod them to make them work SMP with Coppermines.... Not exactly what I want to do to a new piece of equip.

So if that's the case, what Slotket will:

- SMP with Coppermines
- Voltage adjustment (decent range)
- pass the thermal diode signal off the slotket to the motherboard....

Help faster rather than slower, as I need to edit my order if I'm gonna need to change brands/models.

Clay, any resolution on this one? My (your old) Tyan Tiger 100 could use an upgrade one of these days.

Not yet.... The first three processors should get here today... I'll post my results when I get them.

As far as Slotkets.... I have gotten several suggestions, none very definitive....

As far as I can tell, the latest Abit card shouldn't need a mod..... We'll see... Thinking about ordering a couple of each major brand and doing an article on them....
