SLOT1 Socket/Retention Question

To all,
I recently upgraded a QDI P6I440BX BrillianX-1S from a Intel Pentium 2 266 MHZ to a Pentium 2 400. I would like to know if i need new mounting brackets for the cpu? The p2 266 was a SLOT1 SECC1, the one with the little latch brackets/clips on the top. The the new p2 400 doesnt have those little clips because it is SECC2. I would like to know if I need a new mounting bracket around the cpu slot designed specificly for the SECC2 interface?

Thank you in advance,
Fumatore20.

BTW: If I do need a new mounting bracket where could I purchase them?

A SECC2 processor cannot be secured by a SECC1 retention mechanism correctly because the clips are no longer at the top. You need to use what is known as a URM - Universal Retention Mechanism. Generally these are plastic (unlike the metal SECC1 retention), and have clips in the middle for SECC2/SEPP processors and clips at the top for SECC1 processors.
