Slot loaders instead of caddy/tray for internal CD/DVD drives

With many small form factor and mATX chassis requiring the 5.25" drive to be mounted vertically, slot loaders make more sense (and have more appeal) than tray loaders. Yet, I can't find any slot loading DVD writers or CD-RW/DVD combo drives.

Apparently searching comes more easy to you than reading...

Now do you have any helpful replies or are you as useless as your Mom tells everyone when you're not around?

Those are all great, except...

1. I've already seen the thread
2. It is back-ordered or out-of-stock everywhere
3. It is insanely expensive

I will amend my question:

Does anyone make a real live slot loading internal DVD drive (vs. a fantasy one) that can actually be found in stock somewhere on earth and isn't insanely overpriced?

Burner = only plextor
Reader = i got a pioneer scsi one u can have for FREE

I've tried slot drives & they're so much more unreliable & have broken down much quicker than the tray alternatives. Just a heads up, there is a reason you don't see them in mass quantity.

I'm looking for burners, but I would consider CDRW, DVD-ROM, or combo drive, too. I hope they make a come-back with the rise of small chassis.

Its a PITA inserting and removing a disc from a vertically mounted tray loader. I drop the damn thing 50% of the time or get me grubby dibs all over it.
