It depends on what kind of performance you are after. Your AMD chipset Slot A board will not have the ability to run the RAM at 133MHz+, It is easier to unlock a Socket A Duron or T-Bird than removing the case on a Slot A, and purchasing a GFD if you don't already have one.
The AMD Slot A boards are a dead platform now. My Slot A K7-Pro T-Bird backup system is a good performer, but I much prefer the Socket A for my primary system & performance. As inexpensive as the Socket A processors and mobos are now, you would be much better off with a current system, In my opinion.
