Hi all,
What is a reasonable price to pay for a Slot A Athlon 1GHz processor these days?

Thanks for the feedback.
I knew I was getting ripped when I saw that price tag.
Any idea what is a good place to look if I want to get the Slot A Athlon 1GHz for $15 (or under $50)?

yeah they are hard to find but 180 is asking too much
try for 40 to 50 bucks for one
i remember a year ago they were going for 90 bucks on e-bay and pricewatch
this is insane

I agree... although for about $50 you can get an nForce2 board, and for another $50 you can get an XP1800 that will overclock =)

It's a collector's item these days ;)

It'll be worth more in a few years

Perhaps I'll keep my Slot A Athlon 700.... wonder if my uncle still has his Slot A Athlon 500 or 550.. one of the two iirc.

Look for a 900 or 950, should be much cheaper.

Also, unless your board supports the T-bird slot A, make sure you are getting a "Classic" slot A.

The VIA based boards generally don't support the T-Birds.
