slot 1 to socket 370 convertors

Hi, My motherboard is a slot 1. to upgrade to a 1 gighertz p3, I need a socket 370 convertor right? I'd like to know if it is really worth it and that if the performance is good compared to socket 370 motherboards.

It's the cheapest way to upgrade. Just make sure ur mobo support whatever CPU u plan to put in there. Performance wise, should not be much affected...but don't quote me on tht.

i don't think there's a performance hit...?...but probably the cheapest way to avoid totally upgrading your mobo...until now that is. just bought mine for $30...geez...these things were selling for $12 before. oh well...i didnt wanna get a generic one so i might as well.
