slot 1 or flip chip

Hi,
I have slot 1 mb. I am thinking of getting PIII 800, should I get slot 1 800 or flipchip 800 and slot converter?

well getting a fc-pga & slocket instead of a slot 1 should mean that if you need to change your m/board at a later date you should still be able to use your cpu as production of slot 1 boards seems to be coming to an end. Mind you, Abit make a slot 1 815 motherboard!

If you can run your MB at 133bus, you may want to consider a 700e. I just received mine from buy.com for 173.95 - 30 coupon with free ship = 143.95 and put it in this morning. Set the IWill slotket II on my P3V4X to 133 and booted to 933 without any strain. Been running Seti ever since 10:00am for burn in. Just a thought.

If you're asking which one will overclock better I don't think it makes any difference.

If anything, the Slot 1 might be slightly more stable as you are not adding the complication of the adapter into the mix.
