Slot 1 Core Voltage

I would like to replace my 500Mhz Slot 1 processor with a 700 or 800MHz Slot 1 processor. My current processor has a core voltage rating of 2.0. The 700 & 800Mhz processors all seem to have core voltage ratings of 1.65. Does the motherboard automatically adjust for the required voltage? The motherboard has no jumpers for core voltage and I don't see anything in the BIOS for this adjustment. Must I buy a 2.0 core voltage processor?

The motherboard is a Tyan Tsunami ATX (S1846)

According to this, you should be fine, as long as you have updated BIOS version.
" BIOS rev 2.00 recommended for Coppermine support. BIOS can be downloaded from TYAN's BIOS Support Section."
