Slocket for Athlon technically possible or not?

Personally, I doubt you'll ever see them, since they're not here by now and it's been about 3 months since the Socket-A chips became available. When the Intel Coppermine FC-PGA's came out the slockets were available almost immediately.

Presumably there are some technical or cost obstacles that are prohibitive. A while back a saw a German review of a slocket for the irongate chipset Slot-A boards, but I never saw them hit the market.

About a month ago some company released a small limited batch, but I haven't heard anything about it since. I think they may not of worked well.
