Looks like it would be a tight fit. I may just have to order and deal with it :D

I'm using an Acousticase 6607, which is just a gussied up quieter version of the 3700 BQE. Fits fine w/ pata > sata converters.

Er, it may be worth mentioning that my case mounts HDs in the traditional manner. Back of the hard drives face the back of the case...

You could always use those 90° SATA cables for extra clearance. I've seen 'em for sale at Fry's, but you can also find them online with a little Googling.

Wow...I don't think I could give up my 1030b (see rigs). I also have the SLK3700-BQE as my server. It's a great little case...little is the word. I currently have 3 ATA 120GB Drives, 2 Optical, 1 floppy and almost all slots full. Case is almost full and heavy. Serial connections would help with the cables, but don't think the converters would fit and I don't think the powersupply has more than 2 serial power ends.

If you measure the total distance from one of your drives I can check that with mine. Eitherway I'll post the distance from drive to case panel....tonight!

Good Luck,
-JC

I broke the front door off and can't fix it :( I need to be able to lock it. My son has a bad habit of just hitting the power button. ;)

I broke the little tab off the top of the case that the door swivels on :( I will check the link for a new complete front panel. Maybe that is the ticket :D

Thanks for the link!

I did not even check the size of the slk3700. I just thought it would be close to the same size as the 1030b :D

Sent Antec an email, got a quick response and a phone number to call. Colin that sent the email answered the phone and took my order. Will have my new front bezel in a few days.

Thanks for the link, now I am not ordering another case :D

SHould have just tied a ferocious dog to your computer case, that would deter your son from touching the power button, plus you'd have a new family pet.
