What to do? Thermalright claims the sink fits ANY mobo, it does not. Now Heatsinkfactory (where I purchased it) is trying to charge me a 15% restocking fee in order to exchange it for something that will fit.

Obviously your not going to get much joy out of Heatsink Factory,I suggest contacting Thermalright Here !

Am I right in saying that the row of capcitors on the right of the socket is impeding the heatsink fins ? Like this image Here

I did a bit of snooping around and found this review @ SystemCooling.com

Here is what they say

Just for reference, we test-fit the 947U on several AMD motherboards, which are listed below. It fit on all of them, whereas the 900U only fit the NF7-S and the 8RDA+.

Abit NF7-S 2.0
Epox 8RDA+
Epox 8KHA+
Abit AT7
ECS K7S5A

Here is an image of it mounted on the EPOX 8RDA+ that I assume your using as it's in your sig !

No, I am using it on a work system; 8K3AE. The metal deal that surrounds the base of the Sink is what is hitting caps.. =(

I have tried to contact Thermalright 2 times, nothing back yet.

The slk947 will not fit a shuttle an35n ultra either. I've emailed thermalright about this.

Heatsinkfactory should do an exchange at no charge since it was claimed it fit any mobo. I'd try and call to talk to one in charge. Otherwise I'd leave them an appropriate RR eval and avoid them like the plague from now on.

Thermalright should get back to you soon, hopefully. I'd suggest the SLK900-A.
