this is my first post i usually hang out at the PCStats Forums so this is my question,

will the 947U fit NF7-S rev 2.0, on the thermalright website it says that it wont, but after lookingat some forums ive seen people with it installed, even some one at the PCstats forums showed me a pic of it, the bottom of the heatink the mounting part thouches the capacitors near the socket, but it doesnt bend them, just slightly touches them, is this dangerous or should i be fine, cause i wannna order it, i currently have a Aero 7+ which is not cooling my 1700+ JUIHB @ 200x11 where i like it, it idles at 45C during the day, and its not summer yet, so yea, thanks in advance

Im no expert but couldnt you put a non-conductive layer between the heatsink edges and the capacitors?

A thin enough layer shouldnt mean the difference between a bent cap and a snapped cap.
