SLK-800 removal worth it for 1 hr drive?

I'm going to be going to college in a few weeks, and I've got an A7N8X mobo w/ an SLK-800A (The one that clips onto the CPU socket). I'm going to be driving about an hour away to transport it to where my college is. Should I bother removing it? I know this was covered before, but that was for a long flight, not a one hour trip. And which orientation would be best if I left it on?

Yep. Lay the case on it's side, so that the heatsink is sitting on top of the CPU. I.E. not upside down. Keepthe case from banging around and you're good to go. That 3-prong clip is da'bomb.

i wouldnt worry about it, but watch the temps afterwards in case .... who knows

i transport mine all the time, all over the place, never fell off or loosened
