i have an SLK-800 (vantec stealth 27CFM) on a 2.2ghz 1700+ @ 1.625v, and two other case fans, about 30CFM each i think
the hardware doctor from the ABITCD from my NF7-S reads my temps as around 33C idle and 42 load

is this normal? seems very low

thanks

That's about what I get on my system. (Epox 8RDA+/1700 DUT 0302/SLK800a with 39 CFM Panaflo H1A)

Even running SETI 24/7, load is usually under 41C.

What version BIOS are you running? The Abit boards will report their temps ~8-10C high unless you have flashed to the latest BIOS.

Yeah that is about right. I have a 1700+ "L" cpu running at 215x11=2356mhz @ 1.7v on a 8RDA+. Right now my internet surfing temp is 39C on the cpu. I have a SLK800 and I lapped the heatsink too. Also I have a higher cfm fan. I have the smartfan II.

omg, you guys are so lucky. i have a 1700+ @ 2000 Mhz on 1.6V with a slk800 and SFII @ max: IDLE 51 C WITH THE SIDE PANEL OFF!!! i'm hoping that 8-10 degree thing is true. i'm waiting for a floppy to flash my bios. if it was in the 40-45 range, i would be very happy

I'm on an A7N8X, 1700+@2200, 1.5v with an SLK 800 and motherboard monitor5 is reading 30 on the diode, 32 socket and 32 mobo. I can't see how the diode temp can be lower than my case temp, in fact all the temps seem really low. Is there an issue with the the temp sensors on this board? All the other Asus boards I've had always read higher temps.

when i start MBM5, it gives me an error about sensor 1 being 127*C, is that any concern?
all my games and whatever i do is fine, and the hardware doctor says its about 35*C

Unless you smell electrical burn, and see smoke, I bet 127*C should be 127*f, but even that is a little high. 127*f = 52.7*c

I'd be willing to bet that sensor is not configured properly or does not exist. The 3rd sensor on my NF7-S reads 127C.

The 1st sensor on my ep-8kae always reads 90c. When I first put in this mobo and setup MBM and saw 90c my balls shrunk.

No kidding, Sherlock. You are observant.

A lot of people with that board post their temps and they are incorrect due to the BIOS bug. My point was that his temps may seem low compared to someone else who does not have the latest BIOS, but they are, in fact, accurate.
