SLI's 3D modeling benifits? (3DS MAX, maya)

I'm trying to justify getting into SLI for more than just gaming, as I like to dabble with 3D modeling. Has anyone done any benchmarks for 3D modeling with SLI compaired to a single say 6800U? I've googled for some time now and found nothing, and I also searched these forums so If this has already been established please feel free to flame on and point me in the right direction 😉
